 Meet Ashley Willicut

Ashley is a level 10 gymnast at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy.  She started competing for CGA when she was 6 years old.  She has moved through the levels and competed level 9 in 2014 and 2015.  She suffered an injury while vaulting in May of 2014 putting her out of training for 10 weeks.  She came back strong and with a great attitude and ready to compete a second year of level 9.

During her 2015 season, she was the all around champion at Circle of Stars and WOGA invitational.  At level 9 state, she placed 1st on bars, vault, floor and was All Around Champion.  She finished first on vault and 2nd on bars and all-around at Regionals.  She competed for Region 5 at Easterns and finished 1st on vault and floor.

In addition to gymnastics, Ashley just finished her freshman at Lakota West High School where she is ranked 5/561 in her class.  She is a member of student government and Latin Club.  Ashley is also very active with her church youth group.  In her spare time Ash loves to cook and she knits or reads to relax.

As Ashley starts her high school career she has many goals she would like to acheive.  Finishing at the top of her class and getting into a college with a strong pre-med program is at the top of her list.  She aslo wants to stay involved with her church youth group and join the group on a mission trip to help people in need.

In addition to a strong academic school, Ashley's long time ambition has been to compete for a college gymnastics team. Ashley really enjoys watching college gymnastics on T.V and would love to one day be the one competing.  She is working to compete level 10 her last three years of high school and would love to represent region 5 at Nationals!
